Bridal Shower: Summer Sherbet

My oldest friend, Jessica, is getting married in Savannah, Georgia at the end of August and this wedding is going to be nothing but Southern & Fabulous! When her sister, Hope, got in touch with me about the bridal shower, I was so excited! The wedding is going to be very light and mostly whites with a vintage flair but we decided to go with fresh sherbet colors for the shower.

First, I made up three samples to show Hope & Mariah , the maids of honor.

From there, the girls chose one and I completed the collection.
Take a look at the "wrap around" label.
It is very modern but done right, can still be elegant.

Most people leave the back of the invitation, but where's the fun in that!
It is such a small detail, but why not make the entire invitation fabulous!

Bridal Shower: Sweet Summer Yellow

Take a look at the invitations we did for the bridal shower in the post below. Allison is getting married in August at The Sea Oaks Golf Club. She is doing all purples for the wedding so we wanted to do something very different from that but also very fresh and summery. She had always mentioned to her mom how much she loved invitations that have the "cute little bride" on them so this is what Just Be. came up with.

This shower invitation can be changed to any color combination imaginable!

Soon to be Mrs. Patrick Bell

A few weekends ago I had the opportunity to decorate one of the most beautiful showers I have ever been to. Although I feel all parties should be beautiful, this one in particular had to be perfect. My best friend Allison, whom I have known since kindergarten, is getting married in August and her shower needed to be perfect. I  did think it came out very nice but after she said to me "It was everything I could have ever asked for" I knew I had done my best to pull it off. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious and everyone had a great time.

The beautiful DiRenzo girls! In their lovely gift wrap accessories.

Again, I took the job of making the hat. I really think I have a future in this! But while doing so, I explained the process step by step to Allison's little sister so the tradition would live on.

Congratulations Alli & Pat! We can't wait until the 20th!

Bridal Shower: Teaser

Yesterday was a day I have been waiting YEARS for.
My best friend, Allison, is getting married August 20th, 2011 at Sea Oaks Country Club
and yesterday was her bridal shower! I love planning events for anyone
but I really love when the bride is a friend of mine.
It just makes the entire day and everything going into the planning so special.
Her mom, sisters & bridesmaids (including myself) have been planning it for months
and all of our hardwork paid off yesterday.

Here is just a little teaser of one of Just Be.'s creations for the beautiful day!
Check back soon for tons more pictures of the shower and our beautiful bride to be!

Personal: Soon-to-be Mrs. Stys

Sorry I have been so MIA lately but it has been an extremely busy few weeks, both in business and in my personal life. I know that is not a good excuse but here is one of the reasons I haven't been around...

Two weeks ago I attended a bridal shower for a friend that I have known since pre-school. She is getting married on August 19th, 2011 at the Ram's Head Inn and I truly can not wait. She has finally met the love of her life and I am beyond excited for her to tie the knot! Her bridal shower was in Hammonton at Annata Wine Bar. Very cool place, if you are ever in the area, be sure to check it out! Below is a picture of Katie, the soon to be Mrs. Stys in her lovely bow hat at the shower. I was elected to be the person to make this hat and I have to say I quite enjoyed the job. You may remember Katie from her Save The Dates. We did her & Scott's engagement pictures last summer at Oyster Creek. Her Save The Dates went out this February, and her invitations go out in a week! She is going to be an absolutely beautiful bride!

Wedding: Laura & Jack

Laura contacted Just Be. a few months ago, she had already done her invitations but could not think of what she wanted for wedding decor. Her and her fiance, Jack, were having a green wedding so they did not want to do large floral centerpieces and they definitely wanted something unique. The more and more I learned about the couple, the more I could envision their big day. The first thing Laura, a speech teacher in Egg Harbor City, mentioned was that they were trying to keep everything "green" so I automatically thought to use "found objects". Then she mentioned that she wasn't too big on flowers so I thought about green & herbs. And finally she told me that everyone calls her fiance Shrek. From all of these different elements, we created the centerpieces you will see below. They have recycled old story books, wooden boxes, potted herbs, mason jars with berries, roses & fresh picked lilac and tons of candles. I wanted to achieve a romantic, rustic feel and I think it turned out great!
But take a look for yourself!
Tables in the Cocktail Hour area
with smaller versions of the reception centerpieces.

The escort card display.
Laura ordered tea dyed tags from Europe
and wrote each guests name and table on them.
Then Just Be. created this display
for guests to take their cards from.

The favor explanation sign made by Just. Be.
To keep with the "green" theme,
Laura & Jack planted a tree in each of their guests' name
in lieu of a wedding favor. Such an awesome idea!

Their adorable cake topper!

The Sweetheart Table
with a smaller version of the table centerpieces.

Why have table numbers
when you can be so much more creative and make fun table names!
Laura & Jack did Shrek puns as their table names
and I am sure their guests enjoyed seeing
all the different ones they came up with.
Just Be. supplied birch logs as the card holder,
and check out the amazing paper the names are on. Woodgrain!

One of the complete centerpieces on the reception tables.

Rustic Red Roses to compliment the feel and theme on the day.

 Fresh picked Lilac
provided a wonderful scent throughout the room.
And berries, always a fun touch to any flower arrangement.

Who doesn't love a mason jar?
Even if they aren't your personal style,
you can't deny the rustic beauty of them.

The always beautiful Smithville Inn in Galloway, New Jersey.
Such an amazing place to get married!

Check out the backdrop for their ceremony!!!
What a beautiful time of year to get married!

The beautiful bride and her father.

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Giacolone!
We are so thankful that we could be a part of your amazing day!

The Royal Wedding

I don't know about any of you but I am beyond excited for William & Kate's big day! I have been following it on a regular basis and I just find it all so interesting and entertaining. I am going to be bringing some details to the blog as much as I can as the day goes. Please feel free to contribute anything you have seen or heard as well! For now enjoy some pre-wedding info & photos!

The Royal Wedding Invitation

I heard on the radio a few weeks ago a list of things Kate will not be allowed to do once she becomes a Princess. Some of them make sense and others are quite... well... decide for yourself.

1. People may not address her as ‘Kate’ Once married, her official title is “Her Royal Highness Princess William of Wales.”
2. She will not have the right to vote
3. She cannot aspire to political office
4. She cannot escape public observation. The future princess will have to avoid exhibitionism. She will have the approval from the public and rejection. She will always be in the sights of the people, the press and the rest of the world.
5. She cannot play Monopoly. In 2008, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, said the royal family was not allowed to play Monopoly at home because “it was a very vicious game.”
6. She cannot express issues that cause controversy. She cannot disclose publicly announce her political preferences, social, sexual or accept large amounts of money from the “business” for an interview with her husband.
7. She cannot eat seafood. The royal family does not eat seafood for fear of getting sick or poisoned.
8. She cannot perform any work. Although Kate has degree in Art History, she may not work for money while she is part of the royal family but is allowed to take part in official activities, charitable causes and supporting her husband Williams on official missions.
9. She cannot sign papers which are not official. Kate cannot sign autographs or anything other than official papers already authorized by the Queen, just so her signature doesn’t get faked. But she could sign some papers and government regulation in lieu of her husband.
10. She cannot finish her meal. In Britain, when the queen finishes her meal, all guests must be done as well.

British weddings are guaranteed to be fun and fashionable because of one thing... THE HATS!!! I wish this was a tradition we had in the US. How fabulous are these women?!?! Even if they missed the mark, which some did (we won't mention any names), they get to add an super fun accessory to their outfit! Check out some of the best (and worst) from The Royal Wedding.

The Royal wedding party arrive and most importantly, the most awaited arrival of them all! The beautiful bride and her AMAZING dress! A long-sleeved dress with English and French Chantilly lace appliqué bodice, satin gazar pleated skirt and nine-foot train by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen.

The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and the choir gave us chills! Check out the bride & groom as they leave Westminster Abbey and make sure to notice their transportation!

One of our favorite moments from the wedding, William helps Kate into the marriage. As them start to leave, Kate turns to William and asks "Are you happy?" He replies "Yes" and asks her the same.

We knew the cakes would be amazing, but these exceeded our expectations! The grooms cake was a bit plain, but the main wedding cake! My goodness! Check out the detail put into this cake!

The Getaway Car! William and Kate wanted to make sure to add some "common" wedding traditions and this was definitely a fun one to keep!

The Queen of England gave a 600+ guest brunch reception for the bride and groom at Buckingham Palace but what about the after party? Prince Charles, Prince William's father, threw the newlyweds an amazing dinner reception full with 300 of their closest friends and family! And a wedding after party wouldn't be complete without a wardrobe change! The bride wore another gown by Sarah Burton and the groom changed into a tradition tuxedo.
